Some visitors to this site might very well be wondering just who I am. I am an athletic trainer in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. I also teach webmastering at the high school level and the more I learn about website design, the more extensive this site becomes. Photography and collecting digital audio are probably my most significant hobbies. During the summer months, I work for Varsity Spirit Brands as an athletic trainer for cheerleading camps all over the country. I love to travel and I am a die-hard fan of my beloved Texas Longhorns. Widespread Panic has become the focus of my musical interests. I have always surrounded myself with great friends and a loving family and this site is my way of sharing all that I do with those who mean so much to me.

And So It Began...

I was born in Coriscana, Texas on January 23rd, 1975 and weighed in at a very plump 9 lbs 3 oz. I have a younger brother, Robert, who is currently working his way thru the police academy. For the most part, we were raised by a single mother, Vicky, who has climbed her way up the corporate ladder and broken thru glass ceilings in the business world. My grandparents, Betty & Papaw, were very instrumental in my upbringing as I spent virtually every summer living with them and enjoying my summer days shooting, fishing, swimming and working for my grandfather. My mother's job carried us all over the state of Texas but we settled down in Irving (Home of the Cowboys) when I was in junior high. I attended MacArthur High School where I discovered my passions for photography and sports medicine. I became photography editor for the yearbook staff and was a four year letterman in athletics as an athletic trainer working under the Darrell Ortiz. I graduated in 1993 and began the next phase of my life at The University of Texas.
And so it began...

On To Austin...

No wonder I bleed orange...
In the spring of '93, I was accepted into the Athletic Training Program at The University working under the legendary Spanky Stephens. It began, what I believe, to be the absolute best years of my life. For five years, I immersed myself in all that UT Athletics and the city of Austin had to offer. I am yet to experience anything that compares with the rush of adrenaline I felt in running opn the field in front of 80,000 screaming fans or walking down The Tunnel at the Texas/OU game each year. I was there when we won the final Southwest Conference championship as well the the first Big XII the following year. I was also fortunate enough to work with the nationally ranked track & field teams extensively and traveled the country to the largest track meets. I came away with six championship rings as well as my Letterman's T-Ring upon graduation. It was during this time that I worked with Ricky Williams, Gov. George W. Bush, Matthew McConaughey, Priest Holmes, Earl Campbell, Darrell K. Royal, Donovan Baily, and many others. It was also during my time in Austin that I discovered my love for live music. The laid-back and liberal attitude in Austin was the perfect setting to expand my musical tastes. I did my share of partying with my close friends Chad, Matt, and Roller down on 6th Street, the shores of Lake Travis, or floating down the Guadalupe River. I passed the state and national athletic trainer exams during my last year at UT and prepared to enter the real world. Thats when my high school mentor, Darrell, offered me a position as his assistant back at MacArthur.

...And Here We Are

It was during the summer after my graduation from UT that I was also hired by Varsity Spirit Brands to work cheerleading camps for Universal Cheerleaders Association all over the country. Many of the people that I have met while working for UCA during the summer months and throughout the year for special events are now some of my closest friends. Kevin, Tricia, Leanna, Shiloh, Chris, Daniel, Jenn, Mary Gail, Ross, the list goes on and on. UCA staff tends to be very friendly, energetic, outgoing, and downright wild. The good times I continue to have with UCA staff definately keeps me young, or at least young at heart. I have worked events from Hawaii to London and Paris. The house that I share with Shiloh and Chris will once again host many visitors this summer as staff drops by to practice and party alike. It was Kevin and Shiloh who introduced me to Widespread Panic.I still try and make about 8 or 9 UT games as year as I ride the emotional rollercoaster that is UT Football. In any event, I hope you now know a little more about me as you browse my website. Enjoy your visit...
